Megan M. Mathias, a Commercial Litigator at Horwood Marcus & Berk where she leads litigation matters for the business and tax litigation practice, has received two prestigious awards from the Women in Management (WIM) Association.
At the chapter level, Mathias was honored with the 2011 Achievement Award and on the national level she received the Charlotte Danstrom Woman of Achievement Award, in the Licensed Professional career category.
The awards, which honor one of WIM's most inspirational founders - Charlotte Danstrom, are based upon professional recommendations, the nominee's history of dedication towards mentoring other professional women and other rigorous criteria set forth by the National Board of Women in Management. Candidates are judged by non-WIM members qualified via a recognized knowledge and understanding of the skills required to excel in their respective career category.
"Megan doesn't view matters or
people in a transactional manner, Megan looks for the greater goal
in how she can build teams and consensus to achieve those goals,
whether that's helping a client solve a critical issue or mentoring
a co-worker."
- Keith Berk, Horwood Marcus & Berk
